Custom Mill Work
In our custom mill work we offer resurfacing of lumber. We have the ability to plane boards up to 20” wide and any length with our commercial grade helical head planer. We also offer re-sawing, this is normally used when a customer has dimensional lumber and wants it cut down to thinner stock. A common use of re-sawing is turning reclaimed barn wood that starts as 2x4 to 2x8 and turned into 3/4” finished oak flooring or ship-lap siding. Another service we offer is straight lining. This is when we take rough sawn lumber and put straight and square edges on it so it can be used as flooring, trim, or siding. After it is straight lined we can put profiles on the board such as trim profiles, tongue and groove, and shiplap.
